Maintenance on March 8, 2011
On March 8, 2011, between the hours of 0200 and 0500 Eastern Time, Arces will be performing maintenance on its core routers in its main datacenter (NY2). This maintenance is to upgrade the firmware and enable new BGP sessions for IPv6 transit from Cogent and Level(3).

FBI Backdoor in OpenBSD?
A source has reported that the FBI paid to have backdoors installed in cryptographic software, and those backdoors may be present in derivative works released to the public. More info in our blog.

Level 3 Maintenance on 10/22/10
Level 3 is performing maintenance on routers that feed our NY facility. Their maintenance window is scheduled to run from 0000 until 0600 ET on October 22, 2010. In order to guarantee availability of Arces services, we will move all traffic off of our Level 3 link and onto our Cogent link on October 21. Following the completion of the maintenance by Level 3, we will move traffic back on to the Level 3 link.
Because we maintain active routes on both links, the move over and back will not have any impact on client services.
Relaunch of c.ns/c.mx
We've relaunched the server that delivers offsite mail and DNS services.
New Site Launched!
Wow! It's finally here! After 3 months of work, we're very proud to reveal our new website to all of you. We hope that you'll have an easier time accessing the information that you need for your business or for our services, and with a friendlier backend CMS the site will be updated much more frequently than before. I would like to thank Jan Żmota from webde for all of his hard work on the graphic design, Bartek Rutkowski here at Arces for his keen eye in putting the finishing touches on the CSS, and Erick Simpson and Matt Dow from MSP University for their help and guidance throughout the entire process. I would also like to thank everyone at Arces for their input as we brought the entire thing to life. Great job, everyone!
